高徹斯特華人基督教會是一所由基督教華僑佈道會(COCM)於2001年4月8日成立的教會。我們成立的目的是傳揚基督教信仰和提供跟此目的相關的慈善活動。

我們教會的基本信仰如下:

​

1. 聖經是神所默示的，並且真確無誤，是基督徒信仰與行為的唯一準則。

2. 神乃三位一體的神：聖父、聖子及聖靈。

3. 神是創造、啟示、救贖及最後審判的至尊上帝。

4. 人是按照神的形像而造，後因人悖逆犯罪而墜落，一切人類皆有罪性，以致神的震怒和責備臨到人間。

5. 耶穌基督是從聖靈感孕，由童貞女馬利亞所生，是完全的神，也是完全的人。但全無罪污；並死在十字架上，復活昇天，在天上掌權。

6. 只有透過耶穌基督為世人贖罪，成為人神之間的中保，藉主耶穌代替罪人而死，罪才得以赦免、世人得以稱義及戰勝罪的權勢。

7. 因為神的慈悲憐憫，罪人蒙神赦罪，不是出於行為，是藉主耶穌的義和人的信心，人在神面前被稱為義。

8. 必須依靠聖靈工作，人才得以重生；罪人才能向神認罪，歸信基督，藉著基督得新生命。

9. 聖靈住在信徒心中，領導他們更加效法主的性情和行為，裝備自己在世上見證主。

10. 所有信徒都屬基督的身體，是普天下屬神聖潔的教會。             

11. 期待主耶穌會親自再來。

12. 所有真誠信主的信徒都會身體復活，得享永生。

13. 所有不悔改的罪人也會復活，並在地獄永遠受懲罰。

14. 婚姻必須是一男一女。

The Colchester Chinese Christian Church is a church established on April 8, 2001 by the Chinese Overseas Christian Mission(COCM). We were established for the purpose of promoting the Christian faith and providing charitable activities related to this purpose.

The Doctrinal Basis of our church is:

 

1. The Divine inspiration and infallibility of the Holy Scriptures as originally given. And its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

2. The Unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead.

3. The Sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgment.

4. The dignity of man created in the image of God, and the universal sinfulness and guilt of human nature since the fall, rendering man subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.

5. The full deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Son of God; His virgin birth and His real and sinless humanity; His death on the cross, His bodily resurrection and His present reign in heaven. 

6. Redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin, only through the sacrificial death of our representative and substitute, Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and man.

7. Justification as God’s act of undeserved mercy, in which the sinner is pardoned of all his sins and accepted as righteous in God’s sight, only because of the righteousness of Christ imputed to him, this justification being received not by works but by faith alone.

8. The necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit in regeneration, making the death of Jesus Christ effective to the individual sinner and granting repentance towards God and faith in Jesus Christ.

9. The indwelling work of the Holy Spirit in believers, producing in them an increasing likeness to Christ in character and behaviour, and equipping them for witness in the world.

10. The one holy universal church which is the body of Christ, and to which all believers belong.

11. The expectation of the future visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ in person

12. The bodily resurrection and eternal security of all true believers.

13. All unrepentant sinners will be resurrected and subjected to eternal punishment in hell.

14. Marriage must be between a man and a woman.
